Story Narrative
This may sound a little weird and awkward, but the incident that I have encountered is when I go and use the bathroom. I have noticed many different stickers posted on the bathroom stalls, they are different, but basically say the same thing "do not flush toilet paper down the toilet". I found this to be very interesting to me because in the United States, I encounter a different sticker on the bathroom stalls that say "these come from trees" referring to toilet paper and not to use so much because we are killing trees.

Emotional Reaction
The emotion that strikes me the most when I am in these bathroom stalls is concern because here are two different countries targeting their population through stickers to make an effort to change the way people think and what they do. I think this is great because when I am sitting in these bathroom stalls it makes me think and then it will make me act. Although, I am so used to flushing toilet paper down the toilet, when I see the sticker not to throw toilet paper in the toilet it makes me act more consciously because it is in my face in a way telling me what to do. It's the same as when I am in the United States, I don't use a lot of toilet paper because I'm also being conscious of all the trees we are killing to produce the product.

Inter-Cultural Interpretation
The interpretation that I have gathered from this incident is that the United States is more concerned about the environment and how we use and utilize products that come from nature. When it comes to Mexico, it seems to be that they are worried about the infrastructure and to maintain the toilets from working properly. Another thing that comes to mind is when Tito Alegria came into class and talked about the differences between the San Diego and Tijuana and how they have different priorities. For example, Tijuana is more concerned about having a home with all the necessities and the way a community is built making sure that there are many things close by and not at a far distance opposed to San Diego where people are more concerned about the value of property.
